Five steps from specification to warehouse

One procedure for any batch, from a wagon of rebar to a plate line.

  1. 01

    Specification

    Grade, sizes, standard, tonnage. Tolerances and packing recorded the way the mill records them.

  2. 02

    Producing mill

    A mill that rolls this item itself. Price to your warehouse and terms fixed in the contract.

  3. 03

    Mill inspection

    Measurements, heat number checked against the certificate, marking, packing, weight. A photo-documented report for you.

  4. 04

    Route of the batch

    Wagon, container or road train. Paperwork by the bureau, the batch visible at every node.

  5. 05

    Acceptance at the warehouse

    Checked against the specification and weighed in your presence. The acceptance report closes the delivery.

You send

01 · Specification Grade, sizes, standard, tonnage and delivery city, as a list, a file or a specification assembled from the catalogue tables.
02 · Producing mill Answers to clarifications: the design grade, whether a GOST, GB or ASTM equivalent is acceptable, limits on length and packing.
03 · Mill inspection Nothing: the inspection is part of the delivery. Optionally, a request for an independent SGS, Bureau Veritas or TÜV inspection.
04 · Route of the batch Warehouse address, receiving hours, restrictions on access and unloading.
05 · Acceptance at the warehouse A representative at unloading and a scale; if there is no scale, the weight from the carrier’s documents.

The bureau does

01 · Specification Translates the specification into the mill’s terms: tolerances, length, coating, packing, certificate type. An empty field is clarified by a question, not a guess.
02 · Producing mill Selects a mill that rolls this item itself, requests a mill certificate for a sample of the batch, agrees the price to your warehouse and the contract terms.
03 · Mill inspection An inspector at the mill before shipment: thickness and diameter measured, the heat number on the certificate checked against the tag, marking, packing, weighing, a photo of every bundle.
04 · Route of the batch Chooses wagon, container or road train by tonnage and site, handles the customs declaration and certification in Uzbekistan, reports where the batch is.
05 · Acceptance at the warehouse Checks the batch against the specification and packing list, records the weight, draws up the acceptance report.

Document of the step

01 · Specification A request with a TMS-Z number and the agreed specification.
02 · Producing mill A quotation with the price to your warehouse and the contract with the producing mill.
03 · Mill inspection The photo-documented inspection report and the mill test certificate (MTC).
04 · Route of the batch Packing list, invoice, transport documents, certificate of origin, customs declaration.
05 · Acceptance at the warehouse The acceptance report. Defects confirmed by report are replaced: the producing mill supplies the replacement under its contract with the bureau.

Two control points

The batch is checked twice: at the mill before shipment and at your warehouse on unloading. Between the two points it travels with the documents both points check against.

Mill inspection

Warehouse acceptance

The bundle is lowered onto your site, weighing and checking happen in your presence, both sides sign the acceptance report. Defects confirmed by report are replaced: the producing mill supplies the replacement under its contract with the bureau.

What arrives with the batch

The package is assembled at the mill and in the bureau before shipment.

    Mill test certificate (MTC)

    Heat number, chemical composition, mechanical properties, standard. Checked against the bundle tag at inspection.

  2. 02

    Inspection report with photos

    Measurements, marking, packing, weight, bundle numbers. Drawn up at the mill before shipment.

  3. 03

    Specification and packing list

    Items, sizes, quantity and weight per bundle: what the warehouse acceptance is checked against.

  4. 04

    Certificate of origin

    Confirms the mill and country of manufacture for customs clearance.

  5. 05

    Customs clearance

    Declaration, HS codes and certification in Uzbekistan are handled by the bureau.

  6. 06

    Acceptance report

    Drawn up at your warehouse against the specification and scale weight. Closes the delivery.

GOST, GB, ASTM and EN side by side

Chinese mills roll to GB, Uzbek specifications are written in GOST. Grade correspondence is fixed in the contract.

Equivalents are the closest match, not identical: chemistry and tolerances differ between standards. The exact grade and standard are written into the contract.

Route of the batch

How we deliver

The route is chosen for the batch: tonnage, site and urgency. Paperwork and certification in Uzbekistan are handled by the bureau.

Rail

Gondola car or container via Kazakhstan. The main route for large batches: wagon lots, gauge change at the border, arrival at the terminal.

Road train

Up to twenty tonnes per truck. For site batches, groupage and addresses a wagon cannot reach.

Up to 20 t · door to door

Air freight

For urgent and light batches: the cargo lands in Tashkent and clears customs there. Costlier than the other routes, but the fastest.
